Gustavo Castro

Gustavo Castro is a Program Officer for Admissions & Recruitment at M­ƒA. In this role, he supports the recruitment and admissions process for MƒA’s fellowships, helping to identify and connect outstanding STEM educators across New York City with opportunities for professional growth.

Before joining MƒA, Gustavo worked for over a decade in higher education, specializing in student recruitment, admissions strategy, and relationship management. He brings deep experience in building processes that prioritize equity, access, and data-informed decision-making.

Gustavo earned his B.S. in Public Administration and is passionate about how education transforms lives and communities. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new restaurants with his wife, diving into the world of video games and technology, and reading about how the gaming industry continues to evolve at the intersection of art, innovation, and economics.
