Vice President of Professional Learning and Development
Courtney Ginsberg (she/her) is the Vice President of Professional Learning and Development at MƒA. In this role, she leads the Professional Development team in the design and execution of professional learning experiences for MƒA’s community of accomplished mathematics, science, and computer science teachers. She works closely with educators, facilitators, and colleagues across the organization to ensure programming is relevant, inclusive, and deeply grounded in teacher expertise. Courtney is dedicated to fostering a supportive and collaborative culture where educators feel confident, affirmed, and empowered in their identities, ideas, and practice.
Before joining the MƒA staff in 2018, Courtney taught mathematics and computer science for 10 years, primarily at Humanities Preparatory Academy. She served in a wide range of school leadership roles, including as a NYC DOE Model Teacher, STEM Inquiry Team Leader, Robotics Team Coach, and Student Advisor. As a former MƒA Master Teacher, Courtney led multiple Professional Learning Teams and mini-courses and was a founding organizer of the MƒA Summer Think, a teacher-led conference focused on sharing ideas and building community.
Courtney earned both a B.S. and M.A. in Mathematics Education from New York University, where she received the Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship and the Steinhardt School Outstanding Achievement Award in Mathematics Education. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, children, and dog, and in her free time she loves crafting, volunteering, and cheering on the New York Mets.
