Beth Hammack is Chair of the MƒA Board of Directors and the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, one of 12 regional Reserve Banks in the Federal Reserve System. In her current role, Beth participates in the formulation of US monetary policy and oversees 1,100 employees who conduct economic research, supervise banking institutions, engage with businesses and communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District and provide payment services to commercial banks and the US government. 

Beth has more than 30 years of experience in finance, capital markets, and risk management. Before joining the Cleveland Fed, she was cohead of global financing at Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where she was a member of the management committee. She also served on several advisory groups to the US Department of the Treasury and the financial industry before joining the Cleveland Fed. 

In addition to Math for America, Beth serves as a member of the University Hospitals board of directors in Cleveland, a member of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank board of directors, and a Greater Cleveland Partnership board observer. She earned a AB in Quantitative Economics and History from Stanford University.
