Vice President of Strategic Enrollment and Insights
Sharine Stevenson (she/her) is the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment and Insights at MƒA, where she leads and supervises the organization’s admissions, recruitment, data systems, and program evaluation efforts. In this role, Sharine serves as a strategic thought partner across departments, driving the integration of research, practice, and data to inform meaningful decisions. She approaches her work with a justice-centered and inclusive mindset, ensuring that MƒA’s fellowship programs are accessible, reflective of the diverse communities they serve, and continuously shaped by evidence and impact.
Before joining MƒA, Sharine spent 15 years with the NYC Department of Education, serving in a variety of teaching and leadership roles—including UFT Chapter Leader, Grievance Representative, NYC Master Teacher, Mentoring Teacher, Department Chair, and NYC School Designer. She also taught courses at Kean University in New Jersey. As a 2014 MƒA Master Teacher, she led multiple Professional Learning Teams, building capacity among educators and helping facilitate complex conversations around access, belonging, inclusion, and instructional growth.
At the heart of all of Sharine’s work is a deep love and respect for people and their potential. She believes that with the right guidance, opportunities, and learning environments, individuals of all ages can grow, thrive, and lead meaningful change.
Sharine holds a B.S. in Biology from Brooklyn College and an M.S. in Education from Pace University, with a focus on adolescent science education. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two young children, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
