Jenny Hanrahan is the Director of Research at MƒA. In this role, Jenny is instrumental in MƒA’s data collection, data analysis, and research efforts.
Before joining MƒA, Jenny worked at the New York City Department of Education for a number of years, most recently in the Office of Policy and Evaluation, where she contributed to the school district’s use of research and data analysis to promote accountability, policy development and policy implementation, with a focus on increasing academic opportunities and outcomes for low-income students, students with disabilities and English language learners.
Jenny earned her B.A. in Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University, and lives in Brooklyn. A former ballet student for over 15 years, Jenny still takes dance classes around the city in her free time. She also enjoys working with children and currently volunteers as a classroom assistant in ballet classes for children with disabilities.
