Patricia Weisenfeld is the Vice President of Special Initiatives at the Simons Foundation. Her work includes managing the founder’s institutional grantmaking and supporting the Foundation’s outreach and education efforts. In addition, she works closely with the Foundation’s President to ensure the smooth functioning of the President’s Office.
Weisenfeld brings a broad range of experience in not-for-profit management with a focus on public health and organizational development. Prior to joining the Foundation staff in March 2008, she spent ten years in Southeast Asia on assignments for Pathfinder International, Planned Parenthood, the Asian Development Bank, the World Health Organization and the United Nations. Previously, she served as vice president of operations at Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic.
Weisenfeld holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a master’s degree in public administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
