EARLY CAREER FELLOWS

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN AN MƒA EARLY CAREER FELLOW

MƒA Fellowship

Be a current first, second or third year teacher of grade 6-12 mathematics in a New York City public school or be a recent graduate of an education training program certified to teach secondary math in New York City (contingent upon being hired for the 2013-2014 school year)
Hold state teaching certification, and spend at least 75% of your school schedule in classroom mathematics instruction
Know and love math
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to grow as a math teacher with a four year commitment
Achieve a competitive score on two ETS Praxis II Math Content exams: Mathematics: Content Knowledge (0061) and Mathematics: Proofs, Models, and Problems, Part 1 (0063)
