As a New Teacher Advisor at MƒA New York, Jon Delise advises MƒA Fellows on the classroom experience as well as their progress through the MƒA Fellowship.
Jon’s professional experience includes full-time service at Fordham University, nine years as a math chair at Calhoun High School in Merrick, NY and over twenty years in the New York City school system as a principal and high school math department chair. Jon has led professional development sessions on a variety of topics and has presented at NTCM, BOCES and other professional conferences. In addition, he served as a member of the City College of New York committee that reviewed the city's K-12 math curricula, and was a member of the New York City mathematics advisory committee. Jon has taught all levels of middle school and high school mathematics to students of varying mathematical abilities.
Jon earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Yeshiva University and a degree in School Administration and Supervision from Queens College. In his spare time, Jon likes to complete the New York Times crossword puzzle.
