NEW TEACHER ADVISORS

Farrell Brody is a retired New York City public school teacher. He taught mathematics for 34 years at both the middle and high school levels. Farrell taught at Francis Scott Key Junior High School, at the George W. Wingate High School, and the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology, all located in Brooklyn. During the last three years, Farrell provided professional development as a mathematics coach in Region 9 in Manhattan. He has conducted numerous workshops at both the school and regional levels on such topics as the new integrated algebra curriculum, helping at-risk students, and SAT instructional strategies.

Farrell graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a degree in Mathematics, Psychology, and Secondary Education. He has a Master of Science in the Teaching of Mathematics from Lehman College, and recently received his New York State Supervision certification from Baruch College.

Farrell loves baseball, and holds season tickets to see the Brooklyn Cyclones play at Keyspan Park in Coney Island.
