As Communications Associate at Math for America, Sarah Rooney is responsible for executing the organization’s overall communications strategy, including marketing, media relations, website management and social media efforts.

Prior to MƒA, Sarah worked at The Rosen Group, a full service New York City public relations firm focused on corporate, media, educational and non-profit clients. In this role, she led account teams in press relations, writing, website redesign and new media campaigns. Sarah previously acted as senior account executive at Lois Paul & Partners, a strategic communications agency in Boston, where she drove ongoing national and regional media outreach, coordinated the development of b-roll and satellite media tours and managed client thought leadership programs. Sarah has also worked on consumer marketing and public relations programs at Regan Communications Group in Boston and worked with the assignment desk at News 10 (WTEN-TV) in Albany, NY.

Sarah received a B.A. in Communication and English from Boston College. She lives in Manhattan and enjoys traveling and NYC culture.
