As Math for America’s Program Assistant since September 2006, Devon Harrison supports the program team in the development of New York City’s MƒA Fellowship and Master Teacher Fellowship.
Prior to Math for America, Devon served as a teaching fellow in New York's MLK High School and as a writing advisor at Smith College. She also co-led an MCAS test-prep class for failing urban high school students at Bunker Hill Community College. Devon was awarded the national Starfall Children's Literature Fellowship in 2004 based on her children's story, titled, "I Am Not A Monkey!"
Devon earned a B.A. cum laude from Smith College with a major in psychology and a minor in urban education studies. Devon lives in Brooklyn and enjoys dog watching and walking, board games and learning new math jokes.
