Here are some links to math-related games and challenges.

  • AIMS Puzzle Corner
    • According to the site, "The AIMS Puzzle Corner provides teachers with a variety of interesting puzzles that can be used to create a learning environment where students engage in doing mathematics just for the fun of it!"  Puzzles are available as PDF files and an archive of past puzzles and solutions is available
  • CDK's Online Games
    • Java-based versions of some classic strategy games, including Dots and the Tower of Hanoi.
  • Cut-the-Knot
    • Contains many classic mathematics puzzles and games, including the Tower of Hanoi.
  • The MAA American Mathematics Competition
    • Contains an archive of past questions used in AMC competition.  In the Archives section, sample questions are available to download at three levels - AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12.
  • Math Forum Problem of the Week
    • The Problem of the Week is a free feature of the Math Forum website, which contains many great mathematical resources. (most of which require a paid subscription). 
  • Math Puzzle
    • Ed Pegg Jr.'s "puzzling weblog of recreational mathematics."  This site is a tremendous collection of some fun, challenging and creative puzzles, including variations on Sudoku puzzles and some great coin and chess-board puzzles.
  • Mathsyear 2000
    • Based in the UK, the Mathsyear 2000 website contains many excellent math and logic games at a variety of levels.
  • Nick's Mathematical Puzzles
    • According to the site, "The math puzzles presented here are selected for the deceptive simplicity of their statement, or the elegance of their solution. They range over geometry, probability, number theory, algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and logic.
  • Road Sign Math
    • The rules of the game are simple: find a road sign, and devise a way to link all of the numbers on the sign mathematically. Be the first one to do so in your state, and get a special mention on the site.
