Math for America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving mathematics education in our nation’s public schools, is holding the 3rd Annual Math for America Los Angeles Poker Tournament Fundraiser at the home of former LA mayor Dick Riordan. The sponsors of the tournament are underwriting the cost of the evening, therefore, all proceeds will support Math for America’s Fellowship Program, which recruits, trains and retains mathematics teachers for Los Angeles public secondary schools. The tournament will begin at 7:30pm, and end with a final table of players vying for the title of “2011 Los Angeles Poker Night Champion.”
