Getting a New Perspective: Geometric and Visual Thinking in Expected and Unexpected Contexts will be a fun and engaging learning experience for all participants. Facilitated by Kelly Gaddis, Associate Professor of Math Education at Bard College and Joseph Malkevitch, Professor of Mathematics at York College (CUNY), each class session will contain a presentation by an invited guest speaker, and the opportunity for participants to engage in interesting problems, discussions, and some related classroom-based explorations.
We hope you can join us. Coffee and refreshments will be served, and for full-day sessions, lunch is included. All materials will be provided by MfA, and there is no registration fee for participants. Sessions are located either at the Helen & Martin Kimmel Center for University Life at NYU, or at 50 Broadway, 2nd Floor, classroom E/F. Please check the calendar in the sidebar for location information for specific dates.
