Professional Development & Outreach (PDO) Group
Math for America and the IAS/Park City Mathematics Institute sponsor the NYC PDO Group, which supports secondary school mathematics teachers in the five boroughs through mathematics workshops and other outreach activities. The theme of the 2009-2010 NYC PDO is Mathematics and Urban Life: Modeling the World Around Us. Join leading researchers and practitioners in the world in exploring how new and traditional mathematics is everywhere in urban life.
Association of Mathematics Teachers of NY State
AMTNYS hosts an annual fall conference for math teachers and a series of summer workshops on a variety of topics.
UFT Teacher Center
Drawing on current research and best practices, the UFT Teacher Center's professional development activities for educators are designed to deepen content knowledge and enhance pedagogical skill. Activities include after-school study groups, citywide networks, conferences and seminars, as well as college and in-service courses.
Celebration of Teaching and Learning
Thirteen/WNET brings the world’s leading experts, activists, academics and thinkers together on March 5-6, 2010 to expose K-12 teachers to international and national trends in instruction, education policy, and the latest research. Attendees have access to Plenary Sessions, Featured Speaker sessions, hands-on sessions, and exhibit space.
CUNY Graduate Center
Science & the Arts at CUNY presents programs in theatre, art, music, dance and film that bridge the worlds of art and science. Events range from conferences and concerts to science demonstrations on the streets of New York.
For Students:
Courant Splash
A one-day festival of classes in the mathematical and computer sciences taking place on April 10, 2010 at NYU. The classes are designed and taught by students and faculty at the Courant Institute. The program is free and is open to all students in grades 9-12 with an interest in mathematical and computer sciences.
Lehman College Math Circle
Members of this math circle are mathematically talented high school students who come to Lehman College to enhance their mathematics education.
New York Math Circle
The New York Math Circle offers interested students an opportunity to develop reasoning and problem solving skills through exploration of Mathematics.

The NYC DOE offers Mathematics Educator resources such as the Mathematics Scope and Sequence by Grade, Test Data, Pacing and Planning Guides, and a Professional Development catalog.

Information on the Mathematics Learning Standards and Core Curriculum for New York state.
Jefferson Math Project
JMAP offers New York teachers free downloadable resources to integrate Regents exam questions into their curriculum. Problem sets and lessons are grouped by both topic and performance indicator.
