Math for America (MƒA) is a small nonprofit organization in New York City offering highly competitive teaching fellowships and programming for accomplished public school mathematics and science teachers at various stages in their teaching careers. Additionally, we advocate for our model across the country and support other cities and states who seek to build similar fellowship programs.

We are a unique nonprofit in that our efforts center around trusting and respecting teachers who are already experts in their field. We currently have over 1,000 teachers in our various fellowships and all of our staff believe in the importance of public education and value the teaching profession.

MƒA is dedicated to attracting and developing highly motivated professionals with a wide range of experience and expertise. We welcome interest from qualified candidates about the career opportunities below.

I am the teacher that I am today in part because of the opportunities that MƒA provides me. I have learned from my peers by sharing best practices and resources. It has been such a positive experience.
