How it works

Geared towards school administrators who supervise the mathematics or science faculty at their schools, the two-year MƒA School Leader Fellowship offers a mathematics and science-rich community for professional administrators in New York City public schools. MƒA School Leader Fellows are former mathematics or science teachers who have moved into leadership positions in their schools.

Throughout the two years, MƒA School Leader Fellows participate in professional workshops and events, develop and facilitate workshops, and gather for monthly cohort meetings where they – both new and veteran STEM administrators – interact with like-minded leaders. MƒA School Leader Fellows continue to grow and expand their knowledge of leadership through ongoing professional growth opportunities, exchange of ideas, and collaboration.

The MƒA School Leader Fellowship provides:

  • $10,000 stipend over two years
  • $20,000 in school funding over two years for the purposes of improving mathematics and science instruction
  • Participation in a wide-range of professional opportunities with a mathematically and scientifically talented cohort of administrators who support one another’s endeavors

We have a small community of current MƒA School Leader Fellows that has grown since the program’s inception.

We are not accepting School Leader Fellowship applicants in 2017.
