Joseph Catalanotti is a Program Officer at MƒA in the admission and recruitment office.
Before MƒA, Joey served as an Instructional Specialist in the New York City Department of Education’s Learning Partners Program, in which he facilitated the development and growth of school practices and supported principals through professional development and the sharing of best practices. Joey was also an Assistant Principal for both high school and middle school instruction at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning in New York where he supported teachers, worked with student data, and co-chaired the science department. He began his twenty-year career as a science teacher and has also held various roles in education, from student teacher supervisor at Teachers College to science staff developer in the NYC DOE.
Joey earned his B.A. in Gender Studies with a minor in Biology from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, his M.A. in Secondary Science Education from New York University, and his Ed.M. in School Leadership from Bank Street College of Education. In his free time, Joey enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.
